CFL DIGITAL ANNOUNCES A NEW PODCAST: WELCOME “THE WAGGLE”

The official podcast of the Canadian Football League will be hosted by James Cybulski and Davis Sanchez

TORONTO (June 22, 2016) – In advance of the 2016 season kickoff, the Canadian Football League (CFL) announced a new weekly podcast featuring Canadian Screen Award nominee James Cybulski and three-time Grey Cup Champion, two-time CFL All-Star, and Most Outstanding Canadian East nominee Davis Sanchez.

‘The Waggle’ is the official podcast of the Canadian Football League and will feature a weekly episode where Cybulski and Sanchez talk all things CFL. Each week will feature guest interviews, fantasy football insight, analysis from the week before and teeing up the games ahead that week.

The inaugural episode of ‘The Waggle’ will have Cybulski and Sanchez previewing the 2016 season which will be available for fans to download on iTunes today.

Cybulski is a Canadian Screen Award nominated sports reporter who grew up an avid fan of the CFL in Ottawa. In addition to being an anchor on TSN’s SportsCentre and Sportsnet Central, Cybulski has been a field reporter at some of the world’s premier sporting events from the Grey Cup to the Stanley Cup Finals to the Olympics. The former host of Cybulski and Company currently resides in Vancouver, BC.

As a defensive back, Sanchez played for Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton and BC, as well as a two-year stint with the San Diego Chargers of the NFL during his 12-year pro football career. He accumulated 333 tackles, 28 interceptions, five returned interceptions for touchdowns and 62 pass knockdowns in the CFL. The former Oregon Duck and CFL Most Outstanding Canadian nominee retired in 2012 and he too resides in Vancouver, BC.

The Canadian Football League regular season kicks off June 23rd when the Toronto Argonauts host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at their new home at BMO Field. It culminates with the playing of the 104th Grey Cup presented by Shaw on November 27th, also in Toronto.
