CFL DIGITAL RELEASES 2016 “BEST IN THE LEAGUE” SERIES

2016 DEBUT EPISODE ASKS CFL STARS WHO THE MOST CLUTCH PLAYER IS IN THE LEAGUE

TORONTO (June 2, 2016) – Following the success of last year’s seven-part series, the Canadian Football League (CFL) released the first episode of the 2016 installment Best in the League’ yesterday.

The CFL has expanded the 2016 segment to 10 episodes featuring 29 CFL stars polled on a number of categories including; best quarterback, best playmaker, fastest player and many more. In the opening episode, the stars are asked which player in the CFL is the most clutch. You can watch it here.

The series debuted yesterday, and will continue to release episodes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday leading up to opening kickoff of the 2016 season.

Every team is represented in the series and players are asked their opinions on certain topics. Below is a breakdown of the players from each team who were interviewed in the ‘Best in the League’ episodes:

BC Lions: Adam Bighill and Solomon Elimimian
Edmonton Eskimos: Mike Reilly and J.C. Sherritt
Calgary Stampeders: Jerome Messam and Bo Levi Mitchell
Saskatchewan Roughriders: Rob Bagg, Darian Durant and Shawn Lemon
Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Weston Dressler, Andrew Harris and Drew Willy
Hamilton Tiger-Cats: Zach Collaros, Simoni Lawrence, Chad Owens and Luke Tasker
Toronto Argonauts: Tori Gurley and Bryan Hall
Ottawa REDBLACKS: Trevor Harris and Brad Sinopoli
Montreal Alouettes: S.J. Green

The Canadian Football League regular season kicks off June 23rd when the Toronto Argonauts host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at their new home at BMO Field. It culminates with the playing of the 104th Grey Cup presented by Shaw on November 27th, also in Toronto.
