104TH GREY CUP PLAYOFF SCENARIOS - WEEK 19

TORONTO (October 24, 2016) -- Below are Week 19 playoff scenarios in the CFL:

Ottawa Win + Hamilton Loss = Ottawa clinches first place in the East Division and will host the Eastern Final

Winnipeg Win + BC Loss = Winnipeg clinches second in the West Division and will host the Western Semi-Final.

Winnipeg Win OR Tie = Edmonton crosses over to the East Division

Edmonton Loss OR Tie = Edmonton crosses over to the East Division

CLINCHED:

Calgary has clinched first place in the West Division and will host the Western Final.

Ottawa has clinched a playoff berth and a home playoff date.

Hamilton has clinched a playoff berth and a home playoff date.

BC, Winnipeg and Edmonton have clinched playoff berths.

NOTES:

All six playoff clubs are set. Still to settle: first/second in the East, the order of finish in the West, and which West team will cross over to the East.

If the West Division ends up in three-way tie at 10-8 in common games between Edmonton (3-2), Winnipeg (3-2) and BC (1-3), the next tie-breaker is record among common tied clubs. Edmonton would finish in second place by virtue of their superior record in combination with their tie-breaker advantage over Winnipeg. BC would become the crossover team in this scenario.

Winnipeg can still be the crossover club at 10-8 only if: they lose both of their remaining games, Edmonton wins both of theirs to reach 10-8, and BC wins or ties at least once to nullify the three-way tie above.

In the event of a tie between Ottawa and Hamilton, Hamilton owns the tie-breaker between the two teams.

Saskatchewan, Montreal and Toronto have been eliminated from playoff contention.
