110TH GREY CUP MEDIA PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES
Details for providing coverage for the championship game
HAMILTON (November 18, 2023) – Media members and photographers must abide by the following gameday protocols and procedures when providing coverage for the 110th Grey Cup game.
GENERAL INFORMATION
On game day, the press box and media work rooms will open at 2 p.m. ET.
Press box seating – as determined by the Football Reporters of Canada and the Canadian Football League – will be posted in the media rooms.
A pre-game meal will be served at 4 p.m. in the press box and in the photographers’ room. Pizza will be served at halftime at both locations.
MEDIA CREDENTIALS
The Accreditation Office is closed on Gameday. Individuals who have not yet claimed their credentials may do so at the stadium box office, located near Gate 1.
PARKING
All available parking passes have been allocated and/or distributed. Media with physical or digital parking passes will be able to park in lots D and E. Media members must park in their assigned lots.
ENTERING TIM HORTONS FIELD
Media shuttle drop-off and post-game pick-up will be at Gate 3.
Media must enter through Gates 1-A or 3.
MEDIA CONFERENCE ROOM
Interviews will take place in Green Room 1 on field level. This room will also serve as the auxiliary media work room for those not assigned to the press box.
PHOTOGRAPHERS’ ROOM
Green room 2 will serve as the Photographers’ Room.
PRESS BOX
The press box is located on the seventh floor. Seating has been assigned.
BROADCAST RIGHTS HOLDERS
TSN, RDS, and TSN Radio have exclusive access on Grey Cup Sunday. Other media outlets are prohibited from recording or doing live hits inside the stadium until the post-game ceremonies have concluded.
The lone exception is one opportunity for in-bowl stand-ups for non-rights holders from 4:45 to 5:05 p.m. Any media members wishing to take part must be escorted to field level by CFL Communications staff. A group departure from the media conference room will take place shortly after the head coaches’ pre-game availability.
110TH GREY CUP SIDELINE PHOTOGRAPHERS’ PROTOCOLS
Photographers must wear CFL/LCF photographer’s bibs at all times. A mandatory pre-game briefing will take place at 4:45 p.m. in the photographers’ room.
Shooting guidelines
- End zones: Photographers must shoot from behind the A-Frame signage.
- TV-visible sideline: Photographers must shoot from behind the digital signage.
- Opposite sideline: Photographers must shoot from behind the A-Frame signage.
- Players’ boxes and bench areas: Access is strictly prohibited.
Event guidelines
- Pre-game ceremonies: Only photographers with a designated bib colour will be allowed to shoot the player introductions, the coin toss and the national anthem. Photographers on the field – especially for the coin toss – must shoot from behind the TV cameras.
- Halftime and post-game: Information will be shared in the mandatory pre-game briefing at 4:45 p.m. in the photographers’ room.
POST-GAME PROTOCOLS AND MEDIA MOVEMENT PLAN
Towards the end of the fourth quarter, media members in the press box will be escorted to a waiting area on field level. While awaiting access to the field, all wireless microphones must be turned off.
TSN and RDS have exclusive coverage of the on-field ceremonies and celebrations. Only still photographers are prohibited from accessing the field during this time.
Media will be permitted onto the field following the presentation of the Grey Cup trophy.
Any additional information on the media movement plan will be shared during the game.

LOCKER ROOM ACCESS
Locker rooms will be open to media following the conclusion of the game and TSN and RDS’ exclusive window. Media will be granted access in the following order:
- Still photographers
- Additional host broadcaster/rights holders
- Print reporters
- Radio/TV reporters
- TV cameras
POST-GAME MEDIA CONFERENCE
Availabilities will take place in Green Room 1, and they will be streamed on https://www.youtube.com/cfl.
