2015 CFL SEASON KICKS OFF TONIGHT

#CFLKICKOFF - The CFL presents four exciting matchups as part of Week 1 matches

TORONTO – After months of waiting, fans of the Canadian Football League will finally get what they have been waiting for - the return of the CFL. The 2015 season kicks off today with the first installment of Thursday Night Football, an exciting new football experience only on TSN. Four exciting games highlight Week 1 of the 2015 CFL schedule.

The 13th Commissioner of the CFL, Jeffrey L. Orridge, will be present to open the season in Montreal as the Ottawa REDBLACKS face the Montreal Alouettes at 7:30 p.m. E.T. on TSN, RDS, TSN GO, RDS GO and ESPN2.

The Commissioner has already started visiting several Canadian cities on his “9 in 90 tour” – where he is aiming to see all nine CFL teams in action within his first 90 days in office. His inaugural season tour has even taken him to Fort McMurray, Alberta where the pre-season game between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Edmonton Eskimos was the most northern CFL game ever played.

On June 26 at 9:00 p.m. E.T. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Calgary Stampeders will face off in a rematch of the 102nd Grey Cup. Hamilton will have a chance to get revenge for their 20-16 Grey Cup loss as another season of Friday Night Football begins on TSN, RDS2, TSN GO, RDS GO and ESPN2.

The Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts open their seasons on June 27 at 5:00 p.m. E.T. in Fort McMurray, Alberta on TSN, TSN GO and ESPN3.

Kickoff weekend wraps up on June 27 with one of the most spirited rivalries in the CFL. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Saskatchewan Roughriders will square off at 8:00 p.m. E.T. on TSN, TSN GO and ESPN3 in a fierce Canadian showdown.

Tonight’s #CFLKickOff is the first step for each team in their journey toward the 103rd Grey Cup – presented by Shaw and will be played on November 29, 2015, at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
