2017 CANADIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE KEY DATES

Regional combines begin in March, followed by CFL Week; Participants for each combine listed below

TORONTO – The following are some important dates in the Canadian Football League (CFL) 2017 calendar:

February 14th – 2017 Free Agency Opens

Teams will be able to sign free agents beginning at noon ET.

March 10th – Eastern Regional Combine in Montreal, Quebec

The Eastern Regional Combine will take place at the University of Concordia Loyola Campus. The schedule for combine testing will be announced closer to the date.

March 17th – Ontario Regional Combine in Toronto, Ontario

The Ontario Regional Combine will take place at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport and the Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto. The schedule for combine testing will be announced closer to the date.

March 20th - 22nd – Rules Committee & Competition Committee Meetings

These meetings will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan.

March 21st - 26th – CFL Week in Regina, Saskatchewan

March 21st - 22nd – CFL Week Player Media Availability

March 22nd – Canadian Football Hall of Fame VIP Reception

The 2017 Canadian Football Hall of Fame induction class will be announced and unveiled.

March 23rd – Western Regional Combine in Regina, Saskatchewan

The Western Regional Combine will take place at Evraz Place. The schedule for combine testing will be announced closer to the date.

March 23rd – Head Coaches Media Conference

Coaches from all CFL teams will address the media simultaneously while split into East Division and West Division groups.

March 23rd - 25th – National CFL Combine presented by adidas in Regina, Saskatchewan

In preparation for the 2017 CFL Draft the league's general managers, coaches and scouts will be in Regina, Saskatchewan to evaluate more than 50 of the country's top football prospects.

The 2017 National CFL Combine presented by adidas will be held at Evraz Place. The schedule for combine testing will be announced closer to the date.

May 1st – CFL rosters reduced to 75

May 13th – U SPORTS East/West Bowl

The U SPORTS East/West Bowl will be held in Quebec City, Quebec.

May 7th – 2017 CFL Draft

May 24th – Rookie Camps Open

May 28th – Training Camps Open

June 6th – Preseason opens

June 17th - Teams are required to reduce its roster of players under contract to 46 active players by 10 p.m. ET.

June 22nd – 2017 Regular season kicksoff
