ALL-NEW WEBSITE ECOSYSTEM KICKS OFF CFL’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Reimagined CFL network personalizes and revolutionizes how fans connect with the league

TORONTO (September 2, 2026) – The Canadian Football League (CFL) and its nine member clubs have launched an all-new website ecosystem centred on a personalized, immersive and interactive experience that revolutionizes how fans connect with the game they love. The new CFL.ca, LCF.ca and the nine team sites are currently live, with additional features continuing to roll out over the coming days and weeks.
“A world-class digital platform to match our world-class product on the field is how we deepen engagement with our core audiences and reach a new generation of fans,” said CFL Commissioner Stewart Johnston.
The new website ecosystem has been made possible through a historic investment by the Board of Governors in the technological future of the CFL. The sites represent the most significant digital transformation in league history, creating a unified platform that enhances fan experience today, while providing the flexibility to continuously evolve and deliver new digital capabilities in the years ahead.
A CFL JUST FOR YOU
While the league belongs to everyone, fandom is personal; no fan is identical to another. The website features the new CFL ID, a single sign-on identity allowing users to build out their own content profile for the Your News section, including only the most relevant stories, articles and updates according to their selections. CFL ID and its range of preferences will continue to evolve to provide users with a fully personalized experience.
EYE-CATCHING CONTENT
Inspired by quick-to-consume mobile-first content on social media platforms, the website and app redefine how users follow the league. Snapshot moments deliver temporary 24-hour timed video content. Interactive polls and engagement features allow users to share in their fandom. Key statistics, game-day video highlights and short stories delivered before, during and after the match keep users up-to-date on all the latest happenings. Endless-scroll short-form video reels mean users can stay dialed in for as long as they please.
A NUMBERS GAME
New statistics pages have been updated through a modern design with expanded categories and increased accessibility. More extensive League Leaders listings provide a closer look at the top performers. Team statistics have been added and fully integrated for ease-of-use to compare club performance.
GAMEDAY COMPANION
Extensive pre-game coverage includes head-to-head comparisons between the teams and key players. Gametracker has been redesigned to provide users with a second-screen companion for additional insight. Enhanced play-by-play functionality includes live game statistics and real-time updates to provide fans with a comprehensive look behind each play. Post-game coverage breaks down the action, including full recaps, game statistics and highlights.
EXPANDED BUSINESS POSSIBILITIES
The new websites will open additional commercial opportunities. The modern design offers greater agility for more customizable partner solutions and added innovation to deliver bespoke partner activations. New programmatic opportunities will be introduced through the CFL’s exclusive programmatic media partner, MiQ. Premium homepage placements, immersive takeovers, new ownership opportunities and enhanced display inventory are among the new options for brands to connect with users across every step of the online experience.
When the migration to the new ecosystem has been completed, the Official App of the CFL will go live. The bilingual platform will deliver a one-stop shop for the full CFL experience with features tailored to users’ individual preferences, including favourite CFL players and teams.
