CFL FOOTBALL FRENZY APP GAME: NEW ‘MY TEAM’ UPDATE, CANADA DAY CONTENT THEME
Since CFL Football Frenzy has been published in September, it has been downloaded more than 470,000 times, has eight million impressions on the iOS App Store and has been featured in the App Store as an Editor's Choice
Users can now download the latest version in both English and French language on Google Play and the App Store.
With Canada Day around the corner, Football Frenzy celebrates our national holiday in style. For a limited time, users can play against “Team Canada” in the game’s Quick Play mode. The team is comprised of national players from teams across the CFL and are equipped in a custom Canada Jersey and helmet designed specifically for this release.

The major update in the 2.0 version of CFL Football Frenzy is the introduction of the new “My Team” feature which allows users to earn or purchase card packs to build and upgrade their own team to create a 17-player roster. The cards represent more than 140 of our players from our league and are available in a base bronze card, silver and gold while select stars contain rare diamond cards to be collected in their set.
These cards can be purchased using gems (currency in the game) which can be earned by completing matches or via an in-app purchasing option.
Other game-play improvements include:
- Users can fully control their quarterback to scramble out of the pocket
- A new 8 vs. 8 format which means more ways to run and pass
- More than ten new plays added to the playbook
- Have your opportunity to win the 106th Grey Cup in Edmonton
- Show the opposing team you have the loudest fan in the league to psyche out their kicker
With the overwhelming response from fans and gamers alike the CFL will continue to add new and engaging features in 2018.
