CORPORAL KEVIN RIDDELL BECOMES CFL’S ONE MILLIONTH FAN
North Bay native wins Grey Cup trip of a lifetime
TORONTO – Nearly 108,000 fans passed through the gates of a CFL stadium this weekend, pushing this season’s total attendance figure to well over one million. The CFL’s one millionth fan, Kevin Riddell, walked through Sunday night’s sold out TD Place Stadium in Ottawa as the hometown REDBLACKS faced off against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Corporal Riddell, a Canadian military personnel stationed at CFB North Bay will be doing his fourth tour of duty later this year. A huge REDBLACKS fan, Riddell often drives four hours in order to take in a CFL game in the nation’s capital.
As the one millionth fan this season, Riddell has been awarded an exclusive CFL/RedTag.ca Grey Cup package which includes: two roundtrip flights, a pair of tickets to this year’s Grey Cup game, three-night hotel accommodations and an official game ball signed by CFL Commissioner, Jeffrey Orridge.
The 103rd Grey Cup presented by Shaw, will take place on November 29, 2015 at Investors Group Field, aired LIVE at 6:00 p.m. ET on TSN/RDS and ESPN2.
