EDMONTON TAKES AMERICAN SAMOA’S ETEVA MAUGA-CLEMENTS FIRST OVERALL IN 2024 CFL GLOBAL DRAFT

TORONTO (April 30, 2024) – The Edmonton Elks selected American Samoan linebacker Eteva Mauga-Clements with the first overall selection in the 2024 Canadian Football League (CFL) Global Draft.

At No. 2, the Ottawa REDBLACKS drafted Australian punter Matt Hayball before Samoan defensive lineman Tyrone Taleni was taken by the Saskatchewan Roughriders to round out the Top-3 selections.
