Iconic trophy flown in via Canadian Armed Forces ahead of festivities

WINNIPEG (November 9, 2025) – The Grey Cup trophy arrived in Winnipeg ahead of the 112th Grey Cup on board a CH-146 Griffon helicopter.

The iconic trophy was then transported to The Forks for an official welcoming ceremony, featuring guest speakers, the Honourable Nellie Kennedy, Minister of Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism of Manitoba, Mayor Scott Gillingham of Winnipeg, First Canadian Air Division Commander, Major-General Chris McKenna, Richard Genaille, Minister of Youth and Sport of the Manitoba Metis Federation, Chief Gordon Bluesky of the Treaty One Nations, Grey Cup Festival Co-Chair, Dayna Spiring, Wade Miller, President and CEO of the Winnipeg Football Club, and Commissioner Stewart Johnston of the Canadian Football League.
