A LOOK AHEAD - BOKS, Western Regional Combine presented by adidas, Football Operations press conference, and flag football

(REGINA) - March 23rd 2017 - Thursday of Mark's CFL Week is all about the future as the Western Regional Combine presented by adidas gets underway, the BOKS program celebrates reaching more than 380 schools with its healthy active living programming, and the CFL hosts flag football workshops for kids.

Football representatives from all nine teams will be available to the media in two press conferences; for national media unable to attend in person, an opportunity to join via teleconference will be available. The newly-announced Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 will be out and about: first on #MarksCFLWeek Live with Brodie Lawson and then available for autographs.

Later at FanFest, CFL legend Warren Moon will join Mike Reilly and newly-minted Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 member Anthony Calvillo in a quarterback trio at Athabasca University's Achieving Greatness, Overcoming Obstacles Panel hosted by TSN’s Rod Smith. And fans and media alike can put their football knowledge to the test at You Make the Call with CFL SVP of Football Glen Johnson as they explore the complexity of refereeing.

A light breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided for the media on Thursday, all in Sillinger's Corner at Evraz Place

Western Regional Combine presented by adidas - Order of testing: OL, DL, RB, LB, WR, DB. Players will be made available to the media by request after the completion of all testing. Lunch will be served in Sillinger’s Corner from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Western Regional Combine presented by adidas - Height & weight, hand & arm measurements, video shot, vertical jump, broad jump, bench press (225lbs).

BOKS Event - CFL Commissioner Jeffrey L. Orridge, former CFL player Randy Chevrier, adidas Canada President Michael Rossi, Bo Levi Mitchell and Brad Sinopoli will be leading a physical activity session for students to celebrate the BOKS program reaching 85% of their five-year target to get kids moving and learning.

#MarksCFLWeek Live - Host Brodie Lawson will be speaking to Weston Dressler, Commissioner Jeffrey L. Orridge, and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017 inductees.

Girls' Flag Football - A free flag football clinic for girls aged 14-15. Participants will be coached through various flag football drills by current CFL players as well as players from Canada’s Women’s National Tackle Football team. During the latter half of the event, participants will be divided into teams and will play flag football games. The event will conclude with participants being addressed by Catherine Raiche, current Assistant General Manager of the Montreal Alouettes, as well as members of Team Canada about the importance of sport and women’s careers in football.

Achieving Greatness, Overcoming Obstacles Panel - CFL legend Warren Moon, Edmonton quarterback Mike Reilly and Montreal quarterback coach Anthony Calvillo will participate in a panel hosted by TSN’s Rod Smith and sponsored by Athabasca University.

CFL Trivia - Put your mind and memory to the test with questions from Steve Daniel, the league's head statistician.

Co-ed Flag Football A free clinic for boys & girls aged 11 to 13. Participants will be coached through various flag football drills by current CFL players as well as local U Sports and CJFL players and then divided into teams to play flag football games.

Warren Moon media availability - CFL legend Warren Moon will be avilable for a media scrum after the Achieving Greatness, Overcoming Obstacles panel.

You Make the CallParticipants can join CFL Senior VP of Football Glen Johnson as he runs a workshop for fans to step inside the shoes of a CFL referee, taking them through real CFL on-field scenarios using interactive technology to test fans’ knowledge. Limited capacity, free tickets available in advance.
