MEDIA ADVISORY: CFL NFL FLAG CHAMPIONSHIP

Teams from each CFL market will compete for the opportunity to play in the NFL FLAG Championship in Orlando, Florida during Pro Bowl weekend

OTTAWA (November 20, 2017) – Media are invited to attend the CFL NFL Flag Championship, which begins with opening ceremonies at 10:00 a.m. at Gee-Gees Field on Tuesday, November 21st.

Commissioner Randy Ambrosie will be present for opening ceremonies as well as Dr Jennifer Welter, former inside linebacker coach for the Arizona Cardinals and former player for the Texas Revolution of Champions Indoor Football. The championship game will begin at 3:45 p.m. and the closing ceremonies, which will see the winning team receive the nod to participate in the NFL FLAG Championship at Pro Bowl weekend in Orlando, Florida, will begin at 4:15 p.m.

The Championship will feature nine teams, one from each CFL market, who won their bid competing in a series of regional tournaments across the country that saw more than 50 teams and over 500 kids participate.
