Canada Drives delivers iconic trophy to Bayfront Park as Grey Cup Week begins

HAMILTON – The Grey Cup Arrival Delivered by Canada Drives will take place on Tuesday, December 7. Two Royal Canadian Air Force CH-146 Griffons from the 430 Tactical Helicopter Squadron will fly the Grey Cup and Canadian Football League (CFL) Commissioner, Randy Ambrosie, to Bayfront Park. Canada Drives will then deliver the pair to the centre of the park for a land acknowledgement and a brief ceremony to officially welcome the iconic trophy to the home of the 108th Grey Cup.

The ceremony will include a word of welcome and opening remarks before a group photo opportunity. Details may be subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

The 108th Grey Cup from Hamilton’s Tim Hortons Field, featuring Arkells and special guests, The Lumineers, in the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show, will be played on Sunday, December 12 at 6 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on TSN and RDS – Canada’s home of the CFL. A newly released number of tickets to the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Social Area are still available at ticketmaster.ca/greycup.
