PLAYER DISCIPLINE – WEEK 13

TORONTO (September 20, 2017) -- The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today:

Following a disciplinary hearing, BC Lions linebacker Micah Awe received a maximum fine for leading with the crown of his helmet on high hits to Calgary Stampeders running backs Jerome Messam and Roy Finch.

BC Lions running back Chris Rainey was fined for grabbing Calgary Stampeders linebacker Wynton McManis’ facemask in a reckless and unsafe manner.

BC Lions defensive lineman David Menard was fined for a tourist hit on Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Reuben Frank.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive back Demond Washington was fined for spitting on an opponent.

As per league policy, the amount of the player fines was not disclosed.
