Two players fined following Week 17 play

TORONTO (October 9, 2019) – The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today:

Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Eugene Lewis was fined for a blindside block on Calgary Stampeders defensive back DaShaun Amos.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive lineman Dylan Wynn was fined for a blindside block on Edmonton Eskimos wide receiver Tevaun Smith.

As per league policy, the amounts of the player fines were not disclosed.

Governors representing the CFL’s nine member clubs voted in June to return to play after a hiatus forced by the COVID-19 pandemic. The first game of the new season on August 5th is a rematch of the 107th Grey Cup, featuring the defending champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers hosting the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
