Grant, Munoz, Williams and Venable fined following Week 7

TORONTO (August 11, 2016) -- The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today:

Calgary Stampeder Bakari Grant was fined for a dangerous block on Saskatchewan Roughrider Greg Jones.

Ottawa REDBLACK Damaso Munoz was fined for a hit to the head of Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly.

Ottawa REDBLACK Connor Williams was fined for a hit to the head of Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly.

Montreal Alouette Winston Venable was fined for spearing BC Lions quarterback Jonathon Jennings. 

The CFL also announced four additional fines from Week 6:

Saskatchewan Roughrider Justin Capicciotti was fined for a dangerous tackle on Montreal Alouettes running back Jean-Christophe Beaulieu.

Winnipeg Blue Bomber Sukh Chungh was fined for a tourist hit on Edmonton Eskimos defensive back Cord Parks. Chungh was also fined for an unnecessary hit to a vulnerable player (Odell Willis).

Winnipeg Blue Bomber Ian Wild was fined for a hit to the head of Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly.

As per league policy, the amount of the player fines was not disclosed.
