PLAYOFF SCENARIOS - WEEK 20
TORONTO (October 29, 2017) -- Below are the 105th Grey Cup playoff scenarios for Week 20:
WEST DIVISION
- Winnipeg Win OR Edmonton Loss = Winnipeg clinches second place in the division and will host the Western Semi-Final on November 12
- Edmonton Win + Winnipeg Loss OR Tie = Edmonton will host the Western Semi-Final against Winnipeg and Saskatchewan will crossover and play in the Eastern Semi-Final November 12 against Toronto or Ottawa
- Saskatchewan Win = Saskatchewan clinches third place in the West Division and will play in the Western Semi-Final against Winnipeg on November 12 and Edmonton will crossover and play in the Eastern Semi-Final November 12 against Toronto or Ottawa
EAST DIVISION
- Toronto Win OR Tie = Toronto clinches first place in division and hosts Eastern Final on November 19. Ottawa will finish second in the division and host the Eastern Semi-Final on November 12 versus the crossover team
- Toronto Loss = Ottawa clinches first place in division and hosts Eastern Final on November 19. Toronto will finish second in the division and host the Eastern Semi-Final on November 12 versus the crossover team
CLINCHED
- All six playoff berths have been determined; Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Saskatchewan, Toronto and Ottawa.
- Calgary has will host the Western Final, Toronto and Ottawa have confirmed a home playoff date.
- Winnipeg and Edmonton are competing for the right to host the Western Semi-Final on November 12
- The losing team in the Saskatchewan and Edmonton game will be the crossover team
- If Edmonton and Saskatchewan tie, Saskatchewan will be the crossover team
- A three-way tie is possible for second place if Winnipeg losses and Saskatchewan wins. In the case of this, it goes to head-to-head record with the teams tied with each other. Winnipeg would be 4-1, Saskatchewan would be 3-2 and Edmonton would be 0-4 resulting in Winnipeg hosting the Western Semi-Final game versus Saskatchewan and Edmonton crossing over to the East Division
