REMINDER: CANADIAN FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2019 ANNOUNCEMENT

Seven new members set to join the Canadian Football Hall of Fame

TORONTO (April 24, 2019) – The Canadian Football Hall of Fame (CFHOF) will announce the Class of 2019 inductees at BMO Field in Toronto this afternoon.

The CFHOF will be introducing seven new members to the Hall of Fame which will bring the total number of Inducted members to 303 in the Hall, which features busts of each member of the Hall. The Hall relocated to Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton in 2018 and can be found online at www.cfhof.ca.

The doors for the event will open at 1 p.m. ET with the announcement set to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET. Media are asked to RSVP to Lucas Barrett (lbarrett@cfl.ca). 

Inductees will be available for interviews following the announcement with other Hall of Famers in attendance.

Formal induction ceremonies for this year’s CFHOF class will be held later this year at the Hall of Fame in Hamilton on Friday, August 9. The Hall of Fame game is at Tim Hortons Field on Saturday, August 10th when the Tiger-Cats host the BC Lions.  

The 2019 CFL Draft will take place on May 2nd in Toronto. The first two rounds will be aired live on TSN and RDS. Training camps are set to open on May 19. The 2019 season begins on June 13 when the Saskatchewan Roughriders face off against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Fans can stay up to date on all the non-stop action at CFL.ca, follow the 2019 season from around the world, and join us at a game. The 107th Grey Cup presented by Shaw will be played at McMahon Stadium in Calgary on Sunday, November 24.
