Pickett and Beverette also earn monthly nods
TORONTO (September 30, 2026) – Nathan Rourke, Adarius Pickett and Tyrice Beverette are September’s Players of the Month in the Canadian Football League (CFL). The recognition highlights exceptional statistical performances, pivotal plays, game-breaking feats and more across Weeks 14-17 of the season.
The three players were chosen by a panel composed of representatives from the CFL’s Football Operations, Player and Game Statistics, and Content departments.
- NATHAN ROURKE | QB | BC LIONS (2-1 IN SEPTEMBER; 8-6 OVERALL)
- 77-of-106 passing (72.6 per cent)
- 1,067 passing yards; three games of 300+ yards; averaged 355.7 per game
- Seven passing touchdowns against one interception
- Extended streak of 300-passing yard+ performances to seven
- 11 rushes for 145 yards, including a season-high 77 and one touchdown in Week 15
- Week 17 (BC 31 – SSK 24): 22-of-28 for 375 passing yards and four touchdowns; perfect 158.3 efficiency rating
- One Player of the Week honour (W17); two this season
- ADARIUS PICKETT | LB | TORONTO ARGONAUTS (4-0 IN SEPTEMBER; 9-6 OVERALL)
- 35 total tackles (33 defensive, two special teams)
- At least six defensive tackles in each game
- Two sacks and two pass knockdowns
- Week 16 (TOR 24 – EDM 19): 13 defensive tackles to set a season-high and match a career-high, one sack and one pass knockdown
- Player of the Week honour (W16)
- League leader in total tackles (103) and defensive tackles (92)
- TYRICE BEVERETTE | LB | MONTREAL ALOUETTES (2-1 IN SEPTEMBER; 11-3 OVERALL)
- 20 total tackles (17 defensive tackles, three special teams)
- Season-high seven defensive tackles in Week 15
- One interception, two sacks and one forced fumble
- Week 14 (MTL 37 – BC 30): seven total tackles (six defensive, one special teams) and a 57-yard pick-six for first career touchdown
- Two Player of the Week honours (W14 and W15)
