TORONTO – Adarius Bowman, Henry Burris, and Mike Reilly were named the Shaw CFL Top Performers of the Week for Week 18 of the CFL’s 2015 season.

The three players were chosen by a panel of judges who independently send their selections to the CFL head office. The panel includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

SB | Adarius Bowman | Edmonton Eskimos

Edmonton Eskimos slot back Adarius Bowman was named a Shaw CFL Top Performer for the second consecutive week after notching his third career 200+ yard receiving game in the Eskimos’ victory over the Roughriders, 35-24.

Bowman came down with a season-high 12 receptions in the game and accumulated 208 yards and a touchdown to help the Eskimos hold first place in the West Division.

With under two minutes left in the half, Bowman made a catch over the middle and continued to run, splitting a pair of Riders and taking it the rest of the way for the 50-yard touchdown to cut the Riders’ lead to 21-16.

In the past two weeks, the Oklahoma State product has notched 23 receptions for 406 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Chattanooga, Tennessee native has recorded seven touchdowns this season. He leads the league in receptions with 91, and sits second in the league in receiving yards with 1,292.

This is the third time this season Bowman has been named a Shaw CFL Top Performer. He was previously named a top performer in Weeks 12 and 17.

QB | Henry Burris | Ottawa REDBLACKS

Shaw CFL Top Performer points leader Henry Burris was named a top performer for the fifth time this season.

Burris passed for 413 yards, the fifth game this season where he passed for over 400 yards. He completed 29 of 43 passes (67.4 percent) and threw for one touchdown in the REDBLACKS’ 27-20 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

With the game tied late in the fourth quarter, Burris led the REDBLACKS on an 11-play, 76-yard drive in 4:44 that was capped off by a one-yard plunge by Burris – his seventh rushing major of the season – to help lead Ottawa to victory. 

The Spiro, Oklahoma native and product of Temple University has the REDBLACKS competing for first place in the East Division with a pivotal home-and-home series with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to conclude the season.

In the game Burris eclipsed the 5,000-yard mark for the third time in his CFL career.

Burris currently leads the league in passing yards, with 5,148 while completing 71.8 percent of his passes while throwing 20 touchdowns.

QB | Mike Reilly | Edmonton Eskimos

Edmonton Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly was named a Shaw CFL Top Performer following his performance against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Reilly passed for a season-high 377 yards while completing 74.3 percent of his pass attempts (29 of 39) and throwing a trio of touchdowns in the Eskimos’ 35-24 comeback victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina.

Reilly threw three majors to three different receivers: Adarius Bowman (50 yards), Cory Watson (12 yards) and Derel Walker (10 yards).

Reilly also called his own number and ran in for a touchdown from five yards out to extend the Eskimos’ win streak to seven games.

This season, the product of Central Washington University has passed for 2,141 yards, thrown 12 touchdown passes and completed 62.9 percent of his passes.

This is the second time this season Reilly has been named a top performer, with his first coming in Week 12.
