SONREAL HEADLINES SIRIUSXM KICKOFF SHOW AT GREY CUP

CHOIR! CHOIR! CHOIR! set to sing the anthem at the 105th Grey Cup in Ottawa

Wednesday, October 25, 2017 — TORONTO (October 25, 2017) -- The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today that Canadian hip-hop artist SonReal will be performing at the SiriusXM Kickoff Show at the 105th Grey Cup presented by Shaw on November 26th in Ottawa. The league also announced that Toronto-based singing group Choir! Choir! Choir! will sing the national anthem at the 105th Grey Cup.

A native of Vernon, British Columbia, SonReal has earned multiple Canadian Juno Award nominations including “Rap Recording of the Year” for multiple projects while racking up tens of millions of YouTube views.

On August 11th, 2017 SonReal released his debut album, One Long Dream. The first release from the project Can I Get A Witness was an instant success, achieving platinum status in Canada and entering the top-15 at pop radio. His second single Problems is currently dominating top 40 radio while SonReal is preparing to embark on his own North American headlining One Long Dream Tour.

Choir! Choir! Choir!, comprised of Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman, have amassed a dedicated and passionate community of singers and a thriving international fan base on YouTube. The duo has performed with renowned artists such as Patti Smith, Tegan and Sara and Rufus Wainwright. The group has also performed at iconic venues like New York’s Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and last night in Toronto at Nathan Phillips Square to pay tribute to late Tragically Hip singer, Gord Downie.
