THE CFL AND NFL ANNOUNCE THE FLAG CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS SET TO COMPETE AT GREY CUP IN EDMONTON

The championship tournament features teams from each CFL market competing for the opportunity to play in the NFL FLAG Championship in Orlando, Florida during Pro Bowl Week

TORONTO (November 22, 2018) – After ten regional CFL NFL Flag tournaments across the country, where more than 75 teams and over 700 kids played, ten teams have emerged and qualified for the CFL NFL Flag Championship in Edmonton during Grey Cup week.

On Friday, November 23rd the CFL NFL Flag Championship will take place in the fieldhouse at Commonwealth Stadium beginning at 10:30 a.m. MT. with playoffs beginning at 3:30 p.m. MT. The championship game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. MT.

The teams will be playing for a berth in the NFL FLAG Championship during Pro Bowl Week (January 26-28, 2019) in Orlando, Florida where they will compete against other international FLAG teams.

In its second year, the program has seen tremendous growth and continued success. Both the CFL and NFL were thrilled with the results from the regional tournaments and with the talent and sportsmanship on display.
