THE NATIONAL CFL COMBINE PRESENTED BY ADIDAS KICKS OFF TODAY

TORONTO (March 11, 2016) -- The 2016 National CFL Combine presented by adidas kicks off today in Toronto at the Park Hyatt Hotel with player arrivals, medicals and team interviews.
More than 50 of Canada's top football prospects will make the trip to Toronto to put their skills to the test in front of scouts, coaches and general managers from all nine CFL teams in preparation for the 2016 CFL Draft on May 10.

The majority of the testing and evaluating will take place over the weekend.
On Saturday the players' will be tested physically as they tackle the bench press (225 lbs.) as well as testing their leaping abilities in the vertical jump drill at the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport.
On Sunday, the tests move on the field at the Varsity Centre located in downtown Toronto on University of Toronto Campus. Players will put their speed and agility to the test during 40-yard dash, three-cone drill, short shuttle and broad jump.
Following the testing portion, the players will suit up and participate in individual drills followed by one-on-ones against the other top prospects.

CFL.ca analysts Justin Dunk and Don Landry bring you two days of coverage of the two premier events at Combine, the Bench Press and the 40-Yard Dash. They will also be joined by a series of guests that include Toronto Argonauts GM Jim Barker, BC Lions Director of CIS Scouting and former receiver Geroy Simon and TSN's Duane Forde to provide insight into the scouting process.

Players will be made available to the media by request after the completion of all testing.
The CFL regular season kicks off Thursday, June 23rd when the Toronto Argonauts host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at their new home, BMO Field. Friday Night Football debuts June 24th when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers host the Montreal Alouettes. And on June 25th, the Edmonton Eskimos host the Ottawa REDBLACKS, in a rematch of the 103rd Grey Cup, and the Calgary Stampeders visit the BC Lions.
