TSN AND CFL TEAM UP TO PRESENT CFL ENCORE FRIDAYS

Weekly doubleheaders of CFL classic contests continues tonight

TORONTO (April 10, 2020) – The Canadian Football League (CFL) and TSN are welcoming fans to relive the league’s biggest games with themed doubleheaders every week on CFL Encore Fridays.

Selected from marquee games over the past 15 years, CFL Encore Fridays showcases back-to-back action on Friday evenings until the end of May, featuring iconic Grey Cup games, record-setting performances and historic showdowns.

Tonight’s CFL Encore Fridays doubleheader kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on TSN3 with the final game at iconic Ivor Wynne Stadium – a 2012 matchup with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. At 10:30 p.m. ET, TSN3 will feature the inaugural game at Mosaic Stadium in Regina – a nail-biting Canada Day contest between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Winnipeg.

CFL Encore Fridays includes:

  • Ricky Ray Night: Featuring clutch performances by the decorated QB in the 100th Grey Cup and the 105th Grey Cup
  • Anthony Calvillo Night: Highlighting marquee moments from the CFL legend including the game where he became the all-time leading passer in pro football history
  • The 13th Man: Reliving the infamous 97th Grey Cup between the Montreal Alouettes and Saskatchewan, as well as, their rematch the following year
  • Receiver Records Night: Showcasing two of the greatest pass-catchers in league history with CFL ON TSN panellist Milt Stegall setting the all-time touchdown record and Geroy Simon establishing the all-time mark in receiving yards
  • Henry Burris Night: A tribute to the CFL ON TSN panellist featuring his epic performances in the 96th and 104th Grey Cup games
