SIX PROSPECTS FROM ONTARIO REGIONAL COMBINE INVITED TO CFL COMBINE PRESENTED BY ADIDAS

BEAULIEU, FIRLOTTE, KOZACHUK, MACMILLAN, MCMASTER AND MEZZALIRA EARN SPOTS AT CFL SCOUTING COMBINE

TORONTO – The Canadian Football League (CFL) held its second of three regional combines today in Toronto. Six players were extended an invitation to the CFL Combine presented by adidas in Winnipeg from March 24-25.

Jordan Beaulieu, Jacob Firlotte, Paul Kozachuk, Sam MacMillan, Harry McMaster and Eric Mezzalira were invited to display their athletic abilities once again in front of CFL scouts, coaches, and management at the CFL Combine. With today’s six additions, the roster for the CFL Combine presented by adidas has increased to 51 prospects.

Mustang Jordan Beaulieu was the fastest of the day, clocking in at 4.57 seconds in the 40-yard dash and 4.09 in shuttle for first overall in both. The defensive back was second in the three-cone drill at 7.18 seconds and fourth in the vertical jump with 34.5 inches.

Defensive back Jacob Firlotte finished in the top 10 in the vertical jump, with a leap of 32.5. The Queen’s Gael finished seventh in the broad jump at 9’9.75”.

Paul Kozachuk finished first among linebackers and sixth overall in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.71 seconds. He ranked third overall in the vertical jump with an impressive 37 inches. The Varsity Blue finished fifth in the bench press with 18 reps of 225lbs.

Linebacker Eric Mezzalira finished second in the bench press with 21 reps. The McMaster Marauder was also second among linebackers in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.84 seconds.

University of Toronto's Sam MacMillan finished second among offensive linemen in shuttle at 5.19 seconds and in the broad jump at 7’10.5”.

6’1” Harry McMaster also received an invite. The wide receiver from Western ran a 4.84 40-yard dash, with an 8’11.25” broad jump, and shone in the one-on-ones and individual drills.

Overall, 41 players attended today’s Ontario Regional Combine in Toronto and each athlete worked out in front of scouts from all CFL Teams. Click here to view the roster and all the results from the Ontario Regional Combine.

Last year’s Ontario Regional Combine saw Adam Adeboboye, Richard Gillespie, Jordan Hoover, Mark Mackie and Jonah Pataki invited to the CFL Combine. Hoover was drafted 31st overall to Edmonton and Mackie was chosen at 67th overall by Edmonton in the 2017 CFL Draft.
