RANDY AMBROSIE CAPS OFF SUCCESSFUL CROSS-COUNTRY ROAD TRIP IN HALIFAX ON FRIDAY

CFL.ca to livestream the final fan town hall beginning at 11 a.m. ET

TORONTO (February 21, 2018) – After travelling nearly 19,500 kilometres, meeting more than 2,000 fans and with two stops still to come in Hamilton and Halifax, Canadian Football League (CFL) Commissioner Randy Ambrosie nears the end of his ten-stop cross-country CFL road trip.

On Thursday evening the Commissioner will be visiting Hamilton, with his final stop on Friday, in Atlantic Canada. At the town hall in Halifax, Ambrosie will be joined by Founding Partners of Maritime Football Limited, Anthony Leblanc and Bruce Bowser to take questions from a broad base of fans attending the event at The Westin Nova Scotian.

Fans will be able to tune in and watch the final town hall on CFL.ca/live on Friday, February beginning at 11 a.m. ET.

“It’s been a rewarding road trip so far, and I’ve enjoyed interacting with CFL fans across the country and having productive meetings with each teams’ management and football operations,” said Ambrosie. “The trip has been beneficial to the League’s business season and has allowed me to hear feedback and stories from the fans in my first offseason as Commissioner.”

Ambrosie spoke to the importance of adding Halifax to the schedule.

“Visiting and connecting with our fans in Atlantic Canada truly makes this a national road trip. It was important to me to connect with this market, especially given the momentum that has been created recently. The Maritime Football Limited has sparked the imagination of having a ten-team league. There is still lots to do, but the group is working hard to make the dream a reality. I’m here because I want our fans in Halifax and across Atlantic Canada to know they are an important part of the CFL family.”

When the tour is completed Ambrosie will have travelled more than 23,200 kilometres across Canada.
